I've used the National Express 'Airport Express' service on several occasions to travel to and from both Heathrow and Gatwick, and have been very impressed on all occasions. OK, some of the coaches are a bit old, and the journeys take longer than going by car or train, but the service is very convenient, and relatively cheap, compared to the train or parking your car at the airport. On the most recent journey the coach broke down on the M4, but they had a replacement one on hand within about 15 minutes and we arrived at the airport only a few minutes late. Not bad service really.

I had to travel up to Glasgow to see some relatives recently. Being on a low budget I had to use the cheapest transport I could find. Flying and using the train proved very expensive so I thought I would give National Express a go. I know people who use them for going to the airport but they all say that is the only time they would use them, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Thankfully the service was very good. The coaches were clean and comfortable, the driver was pleasant and kept us informed along the journey. We arrived just over 20 minutes late, not bad considering the distance travelled. I would have no hesitation using National Express in the future.
