Bristol International Airport has the honour of being the highest airport in the UK, some 650ft above sea level. With its new terminal and daily flights to the USA, Bristol International Airport is rapidly becoming one of the busiest regional airports in the UK.
Britains second busiest airport, Gatwick handled over 37 million pasengers in 2007. Gatwick is often quoted as the worlds busiest single runway airport, although a second runway is now avialable for emergencies.
Retaining its place as the worlds busiest airport, Heathrow served over 68 million passengers in 2007. And with Terminal 5 opening in Spring 2008, and further expansions planned for terminals 2 and 3, Heathrow looks set to become even busier.
